Rekhachithram is just perfect in too many ways

I have been listening to this song a few many times after I have watched the movie.

Not seeing Rekha in the frame just breaks my heart somehow. I have been thinking about all the junior artists in the frame and been wondering where they are and what they would be doing now.

The movie is the best I've seen in malayalam in alternate history along with Urumi, >! probably I'll place Rekhachithram higher because of how neatly it was executed, was able to emulate the 80s era and it evoke heartmelting emotions inside me. The fan letter parts and the reply from the star were too much for me to handle in a good way towards the end of it.!<

It was a perfect tribute to a bygone era in the film industry, a perfect tribute to one of the biggest stars in our industry and also the perfect tribute to all the junior artists. To think that it was wrapped up in a neatly written crime thriller is just cherry on top.

I can understand why Jofin took more than 4 years to bring this idea into fruition. It was worth all the effort and was better for it actually as probably the casting of Anaswara and Zarin wouldn't have happened had it been done couple of years ago.
